RULES OF CONDUCT AND SAFETY MEASURES
As a student of the Collegiate, you have the right to learn. No student should disrupt this process. As a result, teachers and administration will hold you responsible for your conduct while in school and while participating in school activities. Proper conduct demands that you respect yourself and others, as well as school property.
Your attitude toward yourself is reflected in the way you talk, dress, and behave both in and out of class, and in and out of school.
Students must treat every member of the faculty with politeness and respect at all times. Students must treat their schoolmates with respect. They must avoid name-calling, threats, and physical as well as psychological intimidation. Work to improve your attitude toward others in simple ways such as being polite, not disturbing others in class, being on time for class, etc.
All students at Vincent Massey Collegiate are expected to take proper care of school property. Parents are held financially responsible for damages resulting from carelessness or vandalism caused by their children. This includes:
- Damage to teaching materials including books, gym and lab equipment, uniforms, and audio/visual equipment

- Damage to the property of the faculty as well as that of other students

Any student who damages school property will be suspended from school.
